]]> After my eye operations my vision has been slowly improving. I can focus and see pretty good at arms length. My distance vision is improving as well.
I have problems focusing for extended periods of time though. My eye distorts horizontal lines into a nice wavy pattern. I have a curtain of crud that hangs of the top right of my vision. The crud is slowly breaking up and sloshes into the center of my vision when I move my eye or head.
Still I can see, my retina is healing and my vision is slowly improving.

So I’ve been doing small sketches when I can – pushing things just a little bit.

Two sketches I did today using a blue Pigma Brush pen. In the first drawing the clouds look a little too solid and lumpy. I think the second is the more successful of the two. Might use these as the basis of a monoprint.

The North American verson of the Intuos4 comes with a choice of two from the following Autodesk® SketchBook® Express 2010, Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 8, or Corel® Painter™ Sketch Pad.

The software comes as a digital download, and you only get one chance to make your choice. Since I’m not familiar with any of the software I’m downloading the trials first before I make my decisions.

So far I’m liking SketchBook. The only problem I have is now it just hangs when I try to run it. Not sure what happened, more thought required.
